An introduction – who am I?

A little about myself: my name is Sofiya, and my pronouns are she/her. I am a university student currently living on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. I am in my third year of a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and absolutely not on track to graduate next year, oops.

For an overall picture of myself, lets get all the first date questions out of the way:

• Favourite colour? Royal blue.
• Favourite book? Too many to count, ask me again when I’ve read them all.
• Hobbies? I’ve danced all my life, mainly training in ballet-based Ukrainian folk dance, however, I am also an avid reader and have many other loos-end interests that usually die off after a few weeks.
• Ambitions? To be the happy, in my life and career.
• Values? Open-mindedness, Honesty, Loyalty, Kindness, Acceptance of all people, and Respect towards the earth.

If I had to choose a quote to best describe who I am as an individual, it would be;

“You are who you are when nobody’s watching.”

I have many different faces too many different people – I am a daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, stranger – however, I still don’t know who I am to myself. I find myself only at the beginning of my life, yet completely lost in a void with no exact route or guide out. Yet, I began creating my blog in the midst of it all. I hope that writing this blog will better my understanding of myself and the world I live in.
